Teeth, snow, and a small update

I had my fourth and final wisdom tooth pulled yesterday. It was impacted and was growing sideways into my jaw. When the assistant showed it to me yesterday after it was pulled I pointed to it and told it that I hated it. The tooth was officially named “Rosemary’s Tooth”.  I was kind of hoping that I would be put to sleep for this last tooth, but no, I had to stay awake.  Everyone else I know got to have a wonderful nap while they had their teeth pulled, but I had to stay away for all four of mine.  (The first one was kind of cool to be awake for though, because it was sitting on a nerve and had been giving me a constant headache.  When it was pulled my headache went away immediately.)  I had to stay awake for “Rosemary’s Tooth” because I had to do stuff.  Because of the way it was growing, the dentist couldn’t pull it with my mouth open.  He had to reach back there and get ready to pull it, and then I had to close my mouth a little in order for the tooth to come out because my cheek muscle was in the way otherwise.  Here is a crude MS Paint drawing based on the X-Ray of my teeth.

So yeah.  Now I have a hole in my jaw but I can finally open my mouth to eat again and I’m not in constant tooth-grinding pain.  I don’t mind the hole because I know that the alternative is much worse.  But I think I’m going to stick with Advil rather than the prescribed pain killers – they are making me feel sick.

And last night it snowed!  Of course, most of it melted today, but it snowed dammit!  We had a little snow a couple of weeks ago, but we got a lot of snow this time (a lot for here anyway).  I got to make snow cream!  Yay!  I love snow.  I’ve told Sean that whenever we move again, that I want to move somewhere that gets a lot of snow.  Of course, I took pictures of both snows (the first two are the snow from a couple of weeks ago).

And lastly, I am anxious to get back to work on Shadows and Blood, but between I don’t know how many attacks of the flu and then my teeth, I have to admit that I don’t have anything done.  I loaded Sims two days ago and never did get around to playing them.  I actually just now turned them off!  So… yeah… I had been thinking when I started that I might be able to crank out a chapter a month, or more if I worked hard, but that just doesn’t seem to be the case.  Dammit.

Sim Goddess

Welcome to my blog! My name is Robin and I have been playing The Sims 2 since it was first released (September 13 2004 - technically it came out on the 14, but I had preordered it from EB Games so I got it a day early). Before that, I had been playing original Sims game since... 2000? 2001? I'm not quite sure, but I do remember having to wait for Hot Date to be released. So yeah, I've been playing Sims for years.

This blog, Shadows and Blood, is the home of my legacy (and sometimes some real life stuff too). What is a legacy? Oh, just look at my "Site-ations" list and you'll find a link. I don't have a link to the official site because it fails and I am against it (hence putting my story here, rather than on my Simpage).

So yeah, sit back and read my story. Tell me what you think (unless you think it blows - in that case, don't let the browser hit you in the ass on the way out... jk) or just stop by and say hello. Unlike my Sims, I don't bite.
